Cape Ann TV Holding an After School Video Class at Art Haven for students Grades 5-8

Cape Ann TV and Art Haven have collaborated on an after school video class for students in Grades 5-8.   This eight-week program meets at 3:30 –  5 p.m. on Tuesday afternoons at Art Haven at 180 Main Street, Gloucester. The first class is Tuesday, October 2, 2012.

The program will be led by Cape Ann TV staff member, Lisa Smith. Students will use the downtown location to learn to interview people and videotape at local venues  as they gain  hands-on experience in field production and learn how to edit video on Art Haven’s Mac computers. They will work together to write scripts and to produce short videos. All of the videos  will be cable-cast on Cape Ann TV Channel 12.

The cost for this program is $10 per class; scholarships are available for income eligible students. To pre-register, call Art Haven at 978-283-3888 or download a registration form online at http://www.arthaven.org. For more information about the program, call Lisa Smith at (978) 281-2443 or email her at lsmith@capeanntv.org.
