“Connecting Our Community”
Cape Ann Television is a non-profit, membership-based organization dedicated to producing community and institutional programming, and to providing public access for the free exchange of information and ideas which reflect the talents, skills, interests, concerns and diversity of the Cape Ann community. Cape Ann Television serves the City of Gloucester, and the Towns of Essex, Rockport and Manchester-by-the-Sea on Public Access Cable Channels 12, 20 and 67 (on Comcast).
We are a public access community television station, often called “PEG” Access. “PEG” is an acronym for the three types of programming we offer:
Public - free exchange of information and ideas that reflect the talents, skills,
interests, concerns and diversity of the Cape Ann community
Educational - school-related programs
Government – municipal and town meetings, public hearings, and other meetings
Channel 12 and Channel 67 programming is made by the community, for the community. Our station offers a three-camera studio, portable field equipment and editing suites with Final Cut Express and Final Cut Pro. Membership and training are pre-requisites for equipment and facility use and which is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
We welcome ideas and suggestions!
