Meet the O’Maley Middle School Performing Arts Directors on March 7

The O’Maley Middle School Performing Arts Department is holding an exciting series of performances of “Willy Wonka Junior” and Cape Ann TV is featuring special programs on the creative show co-directors Talia Brown, Jennifer Luzitano and Leslie Sellers on Cape Ann Report on March 7 at 7 p.m. and the students in the cast and crew and student choreographers in a special program also that week. The performances of Willy Wonka Junior are scheduled on Friday, March 9 and Saturday, March 10 and Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17 at the O’Maley Auditorium. Seventy-five sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students are in the cast and crew.  Students have been rehearsing for an hour after school twice a week since September. Audiences are sure to be impressed and inspired by the talent and exuberance radiated by the young performers as they sing, dance, and act out this heartwarming story. The performances are an excellent showcase of the end product of the Performing Arts Department’s elective after school training programs in the disciplines of Music (Chorus), Dance, and Theatre.

Dress rehearsals will be in the O’Maley Auditorium from 2:15-4:15 p.m. on Monday, March 5 and Wednesday, March 7.
